Introduction: Dhaka is the capital city of Bangladesh started growing in the year as a watch post land to a mega city today fostering about 130 lac people. Every day people from all corners are rushing to Dhaka with hope of having opportunity of making fortune by any means. Of them some are temporarily habiting and the rests are remaining floating. The primary hope of coming Dhaka is to getting work or business for survival first. Ultimately the competent can make room for living in Dhaka.
In this way Dhaka is getting populated and over exploitation of its limited environmental resources making living measurable .Among the environmental resources water is becoming more vulnerable in terms of quantity and quality along with other resources of environment. More over various infrastructures are being developed keeping pace with increasing population demand which is also increasing the demand of water. Unfortunately the quantity of available water is reducing and moving beyond reach and quality is getting poor day by day. In such situation in near future the people who are hoping to live in Dhaka may get a little space for occupancy but may not get minimum quantity of water for survival. So to avoid facing that horrified situation Dhaka shall be made prepared now by taking some strategic programs towards mitigating crisis of water in future.
